Our Slogan
since 1980
What we do
Our company helps attorneys incorporate new businesses, carry out other filings and retrievals of documents from state agencies, and provides company record books.
Industry: Legal
Things to communicate through the design
1. trustworthy/reliable
2. dealing with documents and details
3. convenient and fast
The target audience
Attorneys and their staffs. Our clients are mostly 30-55 and looking for extreme reliability and professionalism on projects they entrust to us–and also speed and expertise.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Fonts: readable, classic
Colors: muted, subtle shades (blue or blue with ivory-tan—the color of US file folders—are favorites). Prefer no pink.
Style: The name can be written as Lawyer’s Aid Service, Inc.--- Lawyer’s Aid Service--- Lawyer’s Aid Service Inc--- Lawyer’s Aid Service, Inc --- Lawyer’s Aid Service Inc. Do include the apostrophe (’).
Symbols we like: interesting fragments of official documents, engraved share certificates. Embossing is part of our product line. Perhaps a Texas capitol building icon different from competitors’. File folder cascades, or documents transforming to a wanted result.
We also like tonal gradients, fine lines, detailed geometrics, but preserving most of the image in a fax is a challenge, so perhaps we’ll ask the winner to do a faxable version later.
Please avoid: a copy of any of our competitors’ logos (listed at end), cartoons (icons possibly), and Texas symbols (except maybe the capitol building), courtroom symbols like judge’s gavel, blind justice, scales of justice. Prefer to avoid the acronym LAS.
We’re open to all ideas within and beyond these guidelines!
Please review our competitors' websites and ensure your logo design does not look like the logos of our competitors:

The design approach that has charmed us the most so far is the one we suggested of a running figure carrying documents -- or the same figure and only its two legs appear.
The cartoon strip Calvin & Hobbes has several great sorts of running legs:
