What we do
We are a literature ministry that publishes Bible tracts on various topics. Our literature is used internationally, and is currently translated into around 50 languages.

The target audience
We target a very broad group of people, but generally those who care the most are people who like simplicity, while communicating a strong message.
We like these fonts, colors and style
The logo should include a graphic/icon that is not connected with the words "Giving Light to Our World", for our international use. This should be recognizable with or without the full logo, which would contain the text. The logo should be simple, clean, and modern, without too much detail. It should be scaleable so that it looks good on small printed items, and also looks great when very large.
Our message has to do with sharing light, so elements that communicate that message are preferred, but we would like to keep the creative options open for designers. Other themes/ideas could include a globe/circle/earth, but should not make the logo too busy or detailed.
Another optional way to look at an icon graphic would be to use an element of three (3 streams of light, etc.). If that confuses you, don't worry about it.
Colors: We have generally used blue and white as the main colors, but are open to other color schemes. We will probably prefer blue and white/silver, or other colors that look good and convey the idea of light in conjunction with blue.
The logo should also look good when used with solid or flat colors (if printed with 2-color printing on letterhead without gloss effects, etc.) Again, simple and bold while yet modern is great.

We like the "o" in the "Sunpower" logo attached as an idea...kind of like a lit up world. Again, please make everything scaleable - able to look good at any size! That means not too detailed. We also do not want to have a cross. An alternate element to include (as an OPTION) might be paper or a page of some sort, since we deal with literature.
