What we do
We are a Canadian Importer and Wholesale Distributor of art, occasional furniture and home decor accessories to independent retail stores and interior designers (in Canada). Our customers are retail or design businesses, not consumers. We have been in busines over 37 years (stable).
We are partners in the success of our customers. They count on us to find great new decor products that they can sell and be competitive.

Things to communicate through the design
1. Always current with decor trends, fashion, etc. (i.e we're hip)
2. Professional, and grown up, but not uptight. We like to have fun.
3. Innovative and Kinetic. We don't stand still.
The target audience
Our customers are independent retailers of home decor, giftware and furniture.
We are in a fashion/trend conscious industry. Our customers are always looking for the newest designs, products, etc.
We are a Canadian company, serving Canadian customers (hint).
We like these fonts, colors and style
We like bold colours. Purple, Steel blue, Orange, or Red & White (Canadian Colours)
Looking for an icon + name type of logo. Icon should be able to be used alone (like a badge) or together with company name. Also want the icon to be usable above company name or beside it (for horizontal or vertical layouts on biz cards, website, signs, etc.).
Will consider stylized use of our name as the Logo itself, but it's not our preferrence. But happy to see options.
All icon and text must have transparent background around it so it can be pasted on any colour background (in powerpoint, on web, etc.).
Our tagline, "Always Something New" must be optional usage (i.e. we need the logo portion both with, and without, the tagline. It must be easy to drop the tagline when it's not needed without disturbing the actual logo design.
