The company is a steadily expanding carpentry business. The company aims to branch into other trade sectors such as Electrics, Plumbing etc in the future.

The target audience
Mainly the trade sector so needs to portray a modern, corporate persona but also needs to be friendly, reliable and appealing to the consumer.
We like these fonts, colors and style
The company aims to branch into other trade sectors such as Electrics, Plumbing etc. So the logo needs to be adaptable to be able to create other logos for these future "branches". For example; A 'Colemans Electrics MK' logo needs to be easily produced in a similar style and guise off the back of this initial logo.
Therefore incorporating carpentry tools etc is not really the direction the logo wants to take. It wants to be mainly typographical. Perhaps a clever way of displaying certain characters of the text can be considered. Maybe a 'C' or 'CC' icon of some sort is an option.
If any direct carpentry links (tools, wood etc) are to be used in the logo they would need to be as an icon of some sort. Or only used in the "Carpentry" part of the logo.
"Colemans" and "MK" must remain a modern, professional typeface. Any clever use of type within the text would be good to see.
In terms of colours, Greys and reds are the preferred options to see.
