What we do
We are a general contractor located out of the Central Coast of California. We specialize in winery and estate home construction for high profile clients. We only do very high end, detailed projects. We build both modern designed buildings along with the old world traditional designs. We want to convey a sense of this high end, detailed work in our logo. Much of our work is done in the wine country amongst vineyards and in the beautiful rolling oak studded hills of the central coast. Our company is comprised of young professionals with extensive experience and a 'fresh' perspective. We are very passionate about our work and we get excited about every project and build it as if it were our own.

Things to communicate through the design
1. Simplicity
2. Wealth/luxury/high end
3. Clean/Professional/Neat
The target audience
Most of our clients are older, successful, wealthy, professionals, 30+ years old. We have both male and female clients with a lot of family clients. Although our clients can be based out of anywhere in the US, they all have some tie to the Central Coast of California where we are based. This is wine country and home to quaint towns like San Luis Obispo (voted best city to live in the country) and Santa Barbara.
Typically, our clients are wine and food enthusiasts, art collectors, travelers, golfers, country club members, etc.
We also want to appeal to architecture firms and other construction related industries.
We like these fonts, colors and style
The logo should be able to be embroidered on polo shirts and jackets. It should have a maximum of 2 colors OR it should be able to be easily converted to two colors for embroidery.
Font should be strong and simple, not italicized or script. We also want the logo to convey strength but with simplicity. We also want elegance without being 'frilly'.
We are open to the idea of utilizing the initials RPC in the logo with the full company name spelled out in smaller print.
We don't really want 'tools' or 'hard hats' in the logo. Something that is just clean like a law firm or architecture firm logo.
Our design will be used on
(Web) (Print Media) (Mugs & Tshirts)

9/26 - 6pm - Just a heads up, we light the 'light gothic' style font.
9/26 - 8pm - Also, PLEASE DON'T GET STUCK ON THE LOGO HAVING TO HAVE 'RPC' IN IT. This is just one idea, let's see what else you can come up with. Could potentially not have initials at all, or maybe it has R&P rather than RPC.
9/26 - 9:45pm - Let's see some creativity. Read the description of our company. We work within vineyards, and rolling hills with old oak trees. What about a logo with an silhouette of an old oak tree? What about a logo that mimics a wine label? It would be nice if our logo had a sense of 'place' that related to where we come from. Just some ideas.

Thanks for all of the designs so far. Although we really like the 'sleek' logos, we want to have a 'timeless' feel to the logo as well. Something that will still be a great design 10 years from now and not necessarily a 'trendy' design. So let's see some more 'timeless' options.
10/1 - 11:30am
We would also be interested in producing examples of a very traditional route similar to those in the current "Roman & Fields" contest. These options would be nice to have some without "RPC" and some with.
10/5 - 10:00pm
Hello all. There is 16 hours left in our contest and we still don't have a clear winner. We are still looking for more design options as we haven't found one that completely clicks as 'The One'. Please spend some time and submit some ideas! I'll be quick to provide feedback so we can evolve the designs
Thanks!
