What we do
We are going to be a cafe specializing in matcha green tea. Our concept is to present and serve Japanese matcha green in an environment more resembling an Italian espresso bar.
Our signature product will be matcha green tea but we will also be offering high quality artisanal bread, pastries and sandwiches along with other high quality light foods and snacks.

Things to communicate through the design

The target audience
20s-30s well educated young professionals interested in the latest trends in food and drink as well as finding healthy alternatives for their current lifestyle.
We like these fonts, colors and style
We would like to convey a European artisanal yet stylish feel. As such we really like something along the lines of the Illy , san pelegrino or aqua panna logos.
We generally like clean and simple styles and would prefer to avoid anything too Japanese/ethnic or traditional as we're really try to get a more modern/western feel from the shop.
We've noticed that a lot of other brands that focus on matcha tend to rely heavily on various shades of greens. Although we're not entirely opposed to something like that we'd also quite like to explore other color options that might help to differentiate us from the competition.

Just wanted to mention that the name ChaLait is a play on the word Chalet so maybe something along those lines might be worth exploring. A cute chalet type of graphic would be quite interesting for us to look at.
