This is a self-funded program providing medical, dental and vision benefits to Butte County school districts' employees and their families as property and liability coverage to the districts.

This contest has a sister contest for its subsidiary, the Butte Schools Health and Wellness Center. Logo designs for this contest and the subsidiary should be complimentary.
See the current logo example, components of which MAY but are not mandatory to be carried over to the new design:
•The apple symbolizes the schools which BSSP serves.
•The current logo includes the Caduceus, which is often incorrectly used as a symbol for medicine or doctors. The Rod of Asclepius may be more appropriate.
BSSP is working towards a more visible wellness focus and would like the new logo to embody that focus as well.
Letters and/or words may be included in the logo design.
Our coverage extends to employees' family members so they may be included as well.
Colors: The current logo is mono-chromatic and red. The new logo may be multi-colored and should be based on a color scheme symbolizing health (blues and greens) and but may also include some red within the apple.
Members agencies are exclusively within Butte County, California. The shape of the county may also be included in the logo.
