What we do
We're a hotel in Charlevoix, Michigan. It's a great town known for great festivals, a key water way between Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix. There is a lot of wealth in the area and lots of boaters and active people in the area.
Industry: Travel & Hospitality
Things to communicate through the design
1. Clean and Fresh
2. Vibrant to match the town
3. Semi-modern look - nothing too crazy that makes it stand out against all the classic french style around the area.
The target audience
Everyone! :) Particularly those traveling through the area and someone who can easily spot our logo against a blue sky or green trees. Our guests range from 18 year olds away on college break to 80 year olds here for a reunion or a jaunt through the area. Most of our guests are between 30 and 60 years old. Couples with some business travelers. Lots of leisure
We like these fonts, colors and style
We're open. there is a lot of french history to the region, which we don't mind, but we want to give the area a semi-modern clean crisp look that attracts a lot of attention. The area is gorgeous and filled with vibrant colors (Caribbean blues and teals, bright yellow sun, green grass and trees, sand dunes, rocks, etc). Lots of great contrast. It's TOTALLY a perfect town that fits PURE MICHIGAN ads. Search it on the web - look at the local COC, CVB, and more and you'll see how gorgeous of an area it is. I included some images below to give the zest and feel of the area. The water shown is Lake Michigan, which is the main water attraction, but Lake Charlevoix was named the 2nd most beautiful lake in the USA by USA Today a year or two ago. Thank you!
