What we do
Core Human Factors, Inc. conducts research to support the design and development of products. Most of our clients are medical device manufactures, but we also work with consumer and industrial product companies as well as with hospitals and other institutions. Our field of expertise is called Human Factors Engineering, which is a scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data, and other methods to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance. See our website (www.corehf.com) for more details about us.

1. trustworthy, reliable, dependable
2. scientifically rigorous, integrity

The target audience
Our clients are primarily companies that design and develop products. The specific individuals in these companies whom we work with are typically 30 to 60 years of age. Their backgrounds range from industrial and graphic design to engineering to marketing to regulatory affairs. They are often struggling with a problem and hire us to help them get through it.

We like these fonts, colors and style
We are looking for something fresh and modern - clean and simple. We just painted our office and used a Sherwin-Williams color #6522 "Sporty Blue". The logo should use this color or at least work well with it. The word “Core” in Core Human Factors, Inc. has a few meanings: 1) we’re at the center of our field/industry, 2) we’re rock solid and dependable, and 3) we get to the center of issues and focus on what’s essential. We don’t want the logo to be an “apple core” or anything like that, but we’d consider a logo that subtly represents both the vitruvian man and an apple core. Our business is "human factors" and the vitruvian man is often used to represent this field. That said, we are just as likely to choose a logo that doesn't incorporate this imagery so keep all ideas open for now. The logo can say Core or Core HF or Core Human Factors. As for the overall design, we've tried and failed to combine the shape of the "vitruvian man" with that of the "apple core". If you're not familiar with the vitruvian man, google it and you'll see that it has a similar overall shape as an apple core. Copperplate as a font seems to work well and we've used it a bit here and there, but we're open to new ideas.
