What we do
Hi designers. I have just founded a company called Kaordis which means "from chaos to order. Kaordis will help companies use business process management (BPM) software to intelligently manage their global processes. I would like your help in creating a logo for my company.
Kaordis, like me, is professional, but approachable and not stuffy.

The target audience
Finance and legal professionals at large multinational companies and global service providers (lawyers, accountants, corporate secretaries). I want the logo to have a professionalism that will give these customers the comfort to do business with this startup. But I don't want it to be stuffy. It should be a fresh and clean and simple design.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I prefer a clean, simple, fresh design over something fussy. For the same reason, prefer fewer colors.
I don't have a color scheme. I don't like monochromatic or near-monochromatic logos (blue/black, blue/grey). I like yellow/orange against grey/taupe but am not set on this palate.
Clean, simple but substantial font. Sans serif or solid serif like Rockwell. See Venturebeat.com. I also like ubuntu. Nothing techy or too casual.
Kaordis will help companies implement smart technology to manage processes. I had been toying with making the "o" a simple gear to connote process management. Or an abstract design element to suggest bringing order from chaos.
I find the best place to see good technology logos are on the websites of Silicon Valley venture capitalists. I'd like Kaordis to look like it belongs on these pages.
