What we do
We are a group of concerned citizens and people from allied health and service organisations that are concerned about the impact of suicide in our community. We conduct pro-active community education campaigns on mental health and well-being issues, especially during mental health month when we run, auspice or promote over 70 events. We DO NOT provide direct suicide prevention services , rather we promote exiting services.
Industry: Non-Profit
Things to communicate through the design
1. Publicing awareness of our existance
2. That help is available and you are not alone
3. Suicide requires a whole of community response
The target audience
General public of rural communities in the Bega Valley Shire on the far-south coast of NSW, Australia. Accessing all demographics in the region as suicide requires a whole of community response.
We will be using it on suicide packs for police to give families and friends for both attempted suicides and completed suicides.
We also hope to put it on the town signs as you enter each town/village in the region. We may also make a banner and print on T-Shits for solidarity walks. We also print a bi-fold (making 3 credit card size double sided panels) crisis card with local and national services to call and will likely put the logo on one panel
We like these fonts, colors and style
Our colours are a fairly bright orange and black, with orange the dominant colour. Some white can also be used, especially for negative space.
We like the idea of life preserver ring as an image given it has a double meaning in this context. Having said that, we are open to designs/ideas!
Our design will be used on
(Print Media) (Billboards & Signs) (Mugs & Tshirts)
