What we do
We are a young software company that offers a cloud based solution to promotion management.

The name of the company is RetailNous.

We are rethinking our brand strategy and redesigning our logo. We have rationalized our products into 3 categories. Alpha (for analysis), Bravo (business planning) and Charlie (client management and collaboration).

Since we are relatively young the logo identity has not been very strong and we have used different images. But it is time to change.

Our colours are red, black and white.

The philosophy behind the company is "make complicated things simple".

Our current logo is a cube which fits perfectly with the ABC learning cubes. ABC are also the initials for our 3 products.

We like the design of our cube as it conveys the core values behind our offering. It is dynamic, simple, modern, it is slightly open (suggests the idea of a lot of other resources inside), fits the digital age and the idea of forward thinking (the cloud, internet, new software etc.).

Currently the cube has the word NOUS printed on its 3 visible faces. We want to change it to maybe A, B, C on each face, or RN on the 2 side faces and ABC on the top, or RN on each in a different red scale and A, B and C on top. Or RN before the cube and ABC on the faces.

Or R before the cube and N after the cube.



I have attached a jpeg of the cube (I lost the original file, sorry) to give you an idea. Next to the cube the RetailNous word could also be included in the logo (it appears on our business cards and power point presentations), which is also attached.

We are also thinking of introducing the colour grey and blue (the colour of our commercial partners) but they need to have a smaller presence (and it is not a requirement as it may make things messy). The grey is a light grey (like the Windows Internet Explorer bookmark bar, or the scroll bars in Excel or IE). The blue is a deep dark blue, like the IBM one.

The target audience
Our clients are other businesses. So the target audience will go from CEOs of big companies to sales reps on the road.

Age between 60 and 20, M and F, Education from MBAs to high school diplomas. It is a super broad audience.

We like these fonts, colors and style
The combination of an abstract form (the cube) and words/letter should work. Our colours are Red (very similar to the one on this website, white and black). Ideally the logo would work both on white and black backgrounds. The style needs to be modern, serious, simple, elegant, gender neutral.
