The target audience
My current client base consists of UK businesses based in the city of London.
Their trades are varied (from Accountants to Vineyards), but essentially, they a all deemed to be SME companies (small to medium sized entities) in the UK.
I have a small portfolio of schools and colleges, but my main target is retail and financial sectors.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I'm pretty open minded when it comes to this, but I want to avoid the usual insurance logo styles, which only involve the name of the company in some font or style.
I am looking for a logo with some impact.
Lets face it, insurance is usually some what of an afterthought for most people, so I want my logo to be interesting to capture attention, before they "oh, it's insurance" thought crosses their mind.
Red is a danger colour, so if used well, could be a winner, but usually best avoided for insurance as we are trying to sell safety, security and comfort to our clients.
My main focus is for clients within the city of London, so this could be a steer for you?
Personally, I am a petrolhead (gear head), so I like some of the US Route 66 style signs and also the Gulf Oil logo, but that is personal, not business.
I'm hoping for some vibrant and interesting designs that will stay in date and current for a few years. 2D and 3D are both great.
