What we do
Our organization is Ravenwood Castle, a country inn located in an actual castle in the woods of Hocking Hills Ohio. We strive to serve the gaming market (board and role playing), and this logo is for a gaming convention we will be offering at the castle later this year.

Things to communicate through the design
1. That this is a gaming convention, with hobby board games, role playing games, etc.
2. That it is in an actual castle.
3. That the event will be enjoyable.
The target audience
We're primarily aiming at the gamer who enjoys hobby board games (Ticket to Ride and Alien Frontiers, more so than Monopoly and Risk) and pen and paper role playing games. This will typically be someone in their mid twenties to early fifties. The demographic leans more towards male, but is not exclusively so. Our core demographic tends to have a bit more discretionary income, and is willing/able to spend it on leisure/hobby/travel activities.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I have attached three images. One is a sketch of the castle itself which we use in many of our marketing materials. I've also attached our business logo and the logo for another convention that we hold (Hoop & Stick). I don't necessarily want either included in the logo design for Con in the Castle, but they are both examples of design style that we like and have used in the past.
Overall we enjoy clean, simple designs rather than complex or overly cluttered ones.
