What we do
We are riding the extremely popular wave, of animal print merchandise. We launched on New Years Day, and are already a registered Brand. We work closely with many factories in the Yiwu district of China, and design and import everything from baby shoes to carpeting. We do not specialize in any one type of merchandise, if it can be made with a zebra or a leopard print, we go for it.
Industry: Retail

Things to communicate through the design
1. That we specialize in Animal Print merchandise
2. That we are a registered Brand and own the trademark
3. That we are the IT store for Animal Prints

The target audience
Female shoppers that are generally ages 15-35. 75% are boutique owners who buy supplies to make baby headbands, and hair bows, and trendy high end accessories. 25% are retail shoppers looking for unique, hard to find specialty items in their favorite animal print designs.

We like these fonts, colors and style
First of all, I am open to suggestions on a tagline. To give you an idea of what I have leaned towards here are a few.

Animal Prints and more, for less.

Accessorize your wild side.

I'm not crazy about either one, so dont use them, but feed off them for sure.

I love the word wild when it comes to this business, it says it all and sums up our stock, literally.

A sign on the Girly Side.....Our sales of zebra print with hot pink accents, on ANYTHING offered, sell out first. When I think about this logo, I see that color scheme MAYBE incorporated somehow. It may or may not be the vision I ultimately choose. I also see a strong empahasis on the letter z, with maybe it as the center of the design, then again maybe not. The word THE can be a small or large part of the title, but must be included. Maybe the o's in zootique are somehow aniaml eyes? or stand out somehow? Or the word ZOO is somehow emphasized? I would prefer to have the registered trademark symbol after our name, the standard circle around the capital R. I am open to fonts, and lean towards a black or white background. Even a full zebra or leopard background might be fun. Incorporating several different animal prints, if not too busy, also fun. I will need this logo for a sign that measures six feet wide by 2 and a quarter feet tall, so a vector image is what I have been told I must get. We will use it for everything from that outdoor sign for our retail store, as well as the web banner on our online store, business cards, letterhead, and all that jazz. The MAIN REASON for this contest is because of the outdoor sign. I cant seem to decide on anything. I am so worried about the six foot wide permanent fixture, and must love it. I'm driving my crew crazy, and we are entering our 3rd month in a strip mall without a sign. Cant imagine the $$ I'm missing out on. Help!

Our design will be used on
(Web)  (Print Media)  (Billboards & Signs)  (Mugs & Tshirts)

Additional Info Added Feb 25, 2010
Here are some pictures of the interior and exterior (without a much needed sign) of our main shop

.

ANIMAL PRINTS mean wild animals or those found in a zoo. Zebra, Leopard, Cheetah, Tiger, etc....Nothing domestic except we do sell cow prints, if
that's domestic? No cats or dogs please...

The more I see, the more I am convinced that a zebra in the logo is EXACTLY what we want, with HOT PINK accents, like the top 3. We love the zebra making an appearance, Thanks!

Here is a zebra with hair bows a friend of mine made, I adore this, and wished
the hooves were hot pink to match the hair bows....We aren't graphics designers, thats why were here, but its at least a visual of what
I'm hoping to capture....

I am WIDE OPEN on fonts but favor the following:

***Update*** I am leaning towards hot pink and black, the zebras are all so great! Feel free to do your own thing, what we choose could be a polar opposite from where I see it. Your all amazing artisits!
