Company Name: EmbodyCare, LLC
Our Slogan
Caregiving from the inside out
What We Do
EmbodyCare is an organization providing support to caregivers of dementia patients. We recognize that improvements in the well-being of the caregiver directly impact the quality of care for the patient living with dementia. Our focus is to build a trusting, ongoing relationship between the caregiver and a highly-trained wellness and memory care coach. Our coaches support the caregiver's values, preferences, desires, strengths and goals, and help guide the caregiver on a path to improved health and well-being.
Industry: Service Industries

Things to Communicate Through Our Design
1. We are caring professionals in partnership with a world class provider organization
2. We understand & empathize with caregivers
3. You (the caregiver) are not alone

Target Audience
- Family caregivers of dementia patients (approximately 15 million in the U.S. alone), more than 60% of whom report high levels of stress.
- Formal caregivers and organizations supporting dementia patients (assisted living, memory care, etc.)
- Providers of medical care (physicians, etc.) to patients with dementia
- Employee benefits managers for organizations who employ caregivers
- Risk managers of health benefits & long-term care benefits

Family caregivers are typically female with parents or spouses who have dementia.

We Like These Designs (fonts, colors, style)
I have attached a file that includes a picture of program delivered by our partner. We would like our logo to have some resemblance to this logo (for example, to use a similar font and/or color), but it is currently too simple. We would like some type of graphic image to convey our product as outlined above.

Hi All,

Thank you very much for all of the wonderful designs you have submitted! I have communicated with many of you individually, but I wanted to let everyone know that we recently found out that we can not go forward with our name EmbodyCare. We have received approval for our new name CaringSource, and we would like you to use this new name in your designs.

1) For colors, please see the two attached files. We like the GREEN from the EmbodyHealth.pdf file and the BLUE from the AccentBlue.pdf file. Many have used shades of the GREEN for different parts of the logo, and we like that as well.

2) We like the shading and other effects many of you have used to add depth to the logo, especially the symbol/icon portion of the logo.

3) For the Company Name "CaringSource", we want only the "C" and the "S" to be capitalized.

4) For the text, we like the following fonts & weights for the Company Name and Tagline:
- For "Caring" - Helvetica Neue / Light or Bold*
- For "Source" - Helvetica Neue / Bold or Light*
- For the tagline - Helvetica Neue / Regular
*NOTE: for the font weight of Caring and Source, we want them to be different but have not yet decided which should be bold and which should be light.

5) In the tagline, we would like the words "inside out" to be highlighted in some way. Particular ways we like are: a) make these words BLUE and bold them to set them off from the rest of the GREEN tagline which is REGULAR font weight, and b) have a thick free-form (not straight) BLUE line under the GREEN words "inside out". Other ideas are welcome as well.

6) The font size for the tagline needs to be as large as possible on a single line so it is readable without detracting from the company name.

7) Please DO NOT include "LLC" in the company name or anywhere in the logo.

8) We are a startup with industry-experienced principals that is working with one of the most highly-respected provider organizations in the United States with brand recognition internationally. Our logo needs to be PROFESSIONAL and CARING.

Thanks again to all who have participated, especially those that have submitted multiple designs and multiple revisions of those designs. For those of you who have not yet submitted a design, there is still time!

Good luck to all!

  Hi All,

We have added a file of a concept sketch of an interlinked C and S that we would like to see someone further develop. It is VERY ROUGH, but it may generate some ideas.

Thanks for your continued participation. We are down to under 21 hours left in the contest!

Best regards,
the CaringSource team

Thank you all for submitting some really great designs. Sorry this contest had to be extended! We were all ready to pick a winner and found out our name EmbodyCare had to be changed! Obviously this caused us a delay in finalizing our decision on the logo until a new name could be approved. The good news is that our new name is CaringSource, and we like it even more!

We look forward to seeing your designs updated to reflect our new name.

Thanks again,
Chuck Keibler

Thanks for the continued interest in our contest. I've gotten some feedback from others and wanted to pass some of it along to you:

1 - While the natural elements of trees and leaves are interesting, we have seen enough of these. We are concerned that it gives the impression of an environmental or landscaping company, especially in combination with the green color which we need to use to tie into our partner website.

2 - We would like to see more designs that try to show the concept of "inside out".

3 - We have toyed with the idea of using a maze or labyrinth to signify the challenge caregivers face. We would like to see some designs that use this concept. The challenge for this is to keep the design simple.

4 - We need the logo to appear very professional. Our company is partnering with an internationally known health system, and we must project a strong, confident, professional image.

The color choices of shades of green work well with our partner's logo and the sister product they have whose logo I attached to the contest.

Thanks and keep the ideas coming!

Thank you all for getting this contest started with some great designs! I have done an initial ranking of designs, and sent individual feedback to each designer who ranked 1-10 or had elements we like. I have asked for feedback from a broader audience and more designs will come in, so I am sure the rankings will evolve over the course of the contest. Please continue to work your designs for this contest!

Here is some general feedback that I hope will be helpful:

1) I love the way a number of designs show the concept of "Caregiving from the inside out" including designs #79, #62, #17 & #94.
2) I love the way a number of the designs have used the "e" and the "c" of EmbodyCare in stylized ways that show support and growth including designs #65, #33, #20, #66 & #81.
3) I love the way several designs use trees and leaves to signify growth, especially when combined with figures giving support from within like designs #49, %51, #55 & #74.
4) I generally like the color choices of greens, blues & browns. The splash of orange used in design #49 is also quite nice.
5) I would prefer designs NOT include the "LLC". I think this detracts from the simplicity of the designs. If you have submitted a design with the "LLC", please resubmit a version without the "LLC" for consideration.
6) I would like the tagline, "Caregiving from the inside out", to be as readable as possible. Some designs have used fonts that are too small and/or too light to read, especially those that tried to fit the tagline below and either before or after the "y" in EmbodyCare. I believe I sent messages to all designers that fit this case, but if you submitted a design with a tagline that is hard to read, please resubmit a version that either darkens or increases the size of the font.

Thanks again for participating in our contest!

If you have specific questions for me, please either post a comment or send me a private message. - Chuck
