How about making the first place designer during "judging mode" able to upload revised verison's of final design. This way the CH and designer tweak the design fr final last minute changes.

Thanks!

Joe, if at all possible, this LMW site feature REALLY needs to be added. I'm dealing with a "judging" client as I write this post who's need to see a few color variations of a #1 ranking. I referred them to you and said they would have to reopen the contest – I've not head back as of yet. If there's any way we can add this feature to LMW I think it would really help us a LOT – it's VERY beneficial to the #1 ranked designer, and a LOT LESS headache and worry for the client.

We understand the objective. But sometimes CH asks for minor tweaks not just to the 1st placer. Thanks. :)

I understand but I am talking about after the CH selects the winner he (or) she should be able to keep uploading tweaked versions if the CH decides to do some revised versions.

Your post mentioned about during the 'judging mode' :) You are usually given access to directly submit minor revision to the CH whenever you are selected as the winner. Thanks.

I understand this guys, but my 2 cents is to do what I do with clients... after you select me as your winner I will do any variation you might like, but the concept of the logo is what Im selling you... color scheme and visual composition open to customization!!!

Dont do 20 revisions just to be denied the winning spot after... ;)
your time is the must expensive thing here!

Tavo i agree I am going through this on the YardHelpers contest...I have no problem tweaking desings for clients but I am afraid in the end I may take second or third and be S.O.L. But my goal is to make the CH happy...just dont know when to stand my ground.

Hi, I'm CH for YardHelpers. Just want to put in perspective of CH on the revisions. When looking for a concept I find it hard to decide quite honestly between some submissions that are quite different which one I might want to go with. It's is very important the impression it makes when people see it on my truck and could determine whether they call me or not.

It's also difficult to decide between submissions that are similar. And to make a final decision it's important to get every one of them revised as close as possible to "perfect" if there is such a thing. I have thought about this as I have been asking for revisions and certainly don't want to waste anyones time but I think it's best to compare everyones "final" version. One designer didn't put any effort into my suggestions and ended up going from an early great start to not even in top 10.

Another issue is that of the top 10 right now there are several that I could see being number one because they are similar in concept but I have tried to be accurate in rankings. Nonetheless when it's all over I may think differently than I do now or get input from someone that changes my mind. Who knows when it is very close?

Don't really have a solution. Maybe there should be some payment for 2nd and 3rd but that's not the way the board is set up.

I assure everyone that I understand the value of time but also want the best logo possible. Other CH's undoubtedly are same. I suppose from designers standpoint another alternative is to only work by the hour for individual clients and I could understand it as I've seen some who entered hundreds of contests and haven't won. That doesn't pay bills.

Anyway good luck to everyone in my contest.

In response to ta99bobotw:

You have been a great CH this wasnt apersonl attack on you...Some CH never leave any input at all and that doesnt help us help them at all... I think your contest is going very well with some pretty cool designs...I might have been letting my emotions get the best of me and for that I appologize.

Best Wishes on your contest
Sam
