Our Design Will Be Used On:
Web,  Print Media,  Billboard & Sign,  Mugs & Tshirts

Additional Info Added on Sep 2, 2012
As a reminder, Cascata mean “waterfall” in Italian, and some of the designs we like so far do a good job of incorporating the water theme into the logo in a subtle way without being too obvious or splashy.

Preferred fonts are those with a Mediterranean feel inspired by Italian or Spanish designs (the fonts used so far that are closest to capturing this include #1, #3, #19, and #20). You might want to select a font that includes subtle features inspired by water such as a small wave or flowing letters. For inspiration see Bellagio Hotel www.bellagio.com or Cascata Golf www.golfcascata.com.

As for colors, think richer Mediterranean or Tuscany, Italy inspired colors such as sage/dark green, navy blue, yellow, red/dark red, and brown/tan. I would avoid using red and blue in the same design, as that doesn’t really capture the vision we are seeking.

We look forward to seeing additional designs incorporating these concepts. Thank you very much for all your efforts.

We would like to see backgrounds on designs that would create a nice theme for a website. For example, you might use a light wood grain background or any other colors that go well with your logo. This will allow us to envision the logo being used on our website. As far as color for background or fonts, we like any creative wood grain, red, blue, brown or earth tones. Thanks.

We like the app style icon but would still like to see new ideas. If you have something new we would love to see it.

If you want to show a background then a unique color like the brown in #290 is a good choice. Also, perhaps the background could also be shown in the shape of an app with a square design with rounded corners and not as big as the area that is provided.

We like the app-like design of #288. Let's see some more of that style. Not sure we need to have a background color for now as we would like the logo to stand on its own but we do like seeing some with backgrounds as well.

We have been getting some great new designs with the focus on App-like designs, so we have extended the contest. Another 4 days were added but we hope to wrap this up in a couple of days. Please keep the designs coming. Thanks for your efforts.

It might be interesting to try and incorporate wood paneling or wood grain features into a design. For example, instead of a standard red or navy font the letters could be done in a wood grain font. Still looking for new ideas so please keep them coming. Thanks.

We are getting close to the end and are still very open to new design ideas. Some of the top design might want to try new variations or color schems such as navy and grey.

We have probably seen enough design with basic home designs and oil drops, so we look forward to seeing a few more outside the box ideas.

Thanks for all your efforts.

We are still looking for a little more creativity in font selection. For example, here are unique cursive style fonts for some logos that we like: http://www.amanresorts.com/amanjena/home.aspx, http://www.wynnlasvegas.com/AboutUs, http://www.bellagio.com.

Also, we remain undecided on color selection; however we would like to see more designs incorporating red or navy as the primary color. Think of incorporating color schemes you might see on a luxury sports car such as deep red or navy paired with grey/mocha/wheat/tan/black/brown. Designs using green or blue as the primary color could also be accented by the same colors mentioned above.

Finally, regarding any designs incorporating the form of a home, please avoid standard house symbols that are widely used or available. Instead, reach for more creative, subtle design references, which are more abstract.
