| Company Name: Inner Peace Reiki |
| Our Slogan:
Not Available
|
| What We Do: Reiki is a form of restorative, energy balancing, healing where the hands of the practitioner are gently placed on the patient's body in positions according to a Japanese tradition developed in the early part of the 20th century. I am a one-person business. There are two important aspects to my business, 1) teaching the art of Reiki to others in small, hands-on classes; 2) conducting a private practice of doing Reiki on clients. This work is related to massage and I am a licensed massage therapist. |
| Industry Type: Miscellaneous |
|
| Top Three Things to Communicate Through Our Logo Design: |
| #1 experienced, professional and reputable |
| #2 nurturing, caring, gentle and compassionate |
| #3 an integrative approach to healing |
|
| Our Target Audience: |
| My target audience is both women and men who want to live healthier lives themselves - physically, emotionally and spiritually - and those who want to pass that healing on to others. Reiki enhances and supports the search for one's direction in life and provides a calm respite from a busy life. |
|
| We Like These Designs. (fonts, colors, style): |
I do not want a cliche-type "massage logo". No hands, no ying/yang symbols. I want the logo to be clean and simple, and in color. Green is my favorite color. Yellow and violet are other possibilities. I like natural symbols and shapes. The business is located in Montana, but I do not want a typical "Montana logo". Please no mountain ranges or bison. Native American symbols are appealing to me but not essential. |

| It is a beautiful Saturday here in the Northwestern part of the United States. I realize it must be difficult deciding what each logo person is looking for. We only have one day left to pick a logo and I truly thank each person who has entered and will enter. It will be very hard deciding, epically knowing how much work went into each design. It sure is fun seeing all of the countries where the work comes from. I guess I just want to give a big thanks to all of you. We would still love to see some more logos. |

Hi, at first we didn't think we wanted it, but we would like to see some designs that call forth the beauty of the west and Montana where our business is located.
Thank you, |

It's difficult to communicate what we're looking for, but we thought it might help if we mentioned what elements we like most about our favorites. #172, the simplicity and natural theme #177 and #313, the unique design of the symbol #278, the concept of change creating a ripple effect #339, the strength of the design and the polished, professional look #328, the absolute peaceful feel #318 and #259, the subtle beauty
And if some of this sounds contradictory, that's because it probably is! We want something strong yet subtle, peaceful yet not necessarily still, polished and professional yet simple and natural.
We don't want anything that looks too new age and we want to avoid the cliched symbols of the "massage" trade.
Thank you very much.

We have decided to extend our contest. We like a lot of what has been submitted but would like to have a larger variety of designs to consider before we make a decision. We continue to want a simple design that has a "natural" theme to it. We would like it to stand out from other massage business logos and be memorable, and not "cliche". We would like to use some of the colors of the chakras (energy centers of the body) which are red, orange, yellow, indigo and violet.
The primary uses of the logo will be on a color brochure, a door sign, a business card and a simple website. Thank you very much. |

| We've seen a lot of good logos, but we're still not totally satisfied. We'd like to have more variety to choose from. Designs that are a little less feminine would be good. Natural themes more than mandala/ying/yang symbols. Thank you. |

| We're still looking for just the right symbol to represent us. We continue to favor the vertical design format, but #130 and #131 are also interesting to us. We like the softer colors but also want a polished, clean look. Because the word "Reiki" is not commonly known, we need the font for that word to be very readable, though interesting at the same time. We don't want any question about what the letters of the word "Reiki" are. We like natural symbols more than mandala type and yin/yang symbols. Thank you. |

Native American Bear was cherished healing symbol among many NA tribes, for the Bear is well-known for his strong medicine.

| We would like to see some more variety in the designs and colors. We still like the idea of a Native American or western theme. Thank you. |

I'd like to see a little more variety in colors and maybe some more nature themes for the symbols. I wouldn't mind seeing a few choices that have a Western - or Montana - feel to them.
I like the emphasis to be on the word "Reiki" but I don't want the words "Inner Peace" to be so small as to be insignificant, as in entry #3.
I tend to like a vertical format. I like entry #17 and have ranked it as our first choice, but we're not sure about the cliche quality of a lotus blossom. We're curious if there's another symbol that's not quite so overused.
The Japanese characters for the word "Reiki" as seen in #3 are OK to use on a logo, but I don't want any of the official Reiki symbols used in my logo, such as in entries #19 and #20. |

In my previous comment I used the numbers for the rankings instead of the entry numbers when referring to the logos. So when you rollover the numbers on my last comment you will not see the logos that I intended to reference. Please refer to the rankings that I put in and then it will make sense to you.
I'll do it accurately from here on out. Just got confused. |

On logos that I ranked #1 & #2 = Font is good. Colors are good. But the word "Reiki" needs to be prominent.
On logo that I ranked #3 = Like the color and the shape of the overall logo. The Japanese characters is a nice element and it may be what we want, but we're not sure about it yet.
On logo that I ranked #5 = Like the font and the emphasis on the word "Reiki". A butterfly might be a nice symbol, but do not like the person's body inside the butterfly.
We would like to see some nature symbols, such as leaves, trees, etc. Native American symbols might also work. |
