Company Name: Burning Bush Technologies
Our Slogan:  Inspired by Nature, Perfected by BBT (still being tweaked...)
What We Do: Burning Bush Technologies (BBT). We are a start-up company that developes very unique "nano-ceramic coatings and composite resin technologies" for industries ranging from firearms to the aerospace industry. Much like the miraculous biblical event when a bush was being conumed by fire BUT not burning up; our coatings have the abilities to withstand up to 1800 degrees, possess non-stick properties equal to TEFLON, and can be designed to either dissipate heat fast (make it leave the surface) or the opposite; and keep most of the heat from transferring through the surface. We want a logo that has a hi-tech, yet simple look of the "burning bush". Colors are not yet determined... so have at it.
Industry Type: Technology

Top Three Things to Communicate Through Our Logo Design:
#1 Coatings developers of high performing NANO-CERAMIC coatngs for hi-tech applications, very progressive.
#2 High temperature resistance, non-stick, corrosion resistant.
#3 Future ads will use the tag line and compare it w. Pics depicting nature shots such as set ICE and non-stick coatings.

Our Target Audience:
We appeal to Manufacturers. Hence, we are looking to appeal to audiences in much the same way as DuPont, Dow, Sherwin Williams does. For example, in the aerospace industry, we are providing coatings that will stop 88% of a 1500 degree heat from transferring through a 1/16" thick stainless steel surface using only a 1/1000th thick coating!
This said, we want the logo to be one that is not too complex. We want people to identify with it. This means probably combining the name and symbolism. Immediate clients we sell to include Stanley Hardware, BOEING and ITW (Illinois Tool Works).

We Like These Designs. (fonts, colors, style):
The art palette is wide open for this contest. We would like to see it kept resonably simple so it can exist within a lot of different backgrounds. If selected, we would also ask/pay the winning designer to come up with various additional promotional pieces such as t-shirts. Another promotional piece will tie into the a website called which will highlight just what nano-coatings (like ours) are, why they are unique, and how they provide advantages. This logo would also be trademarked.

Our Design Will Be Used On:
Web,  Print Media,  Mugs & Tshirts

  Hello Again,

Please note the following thoughts...
1. #30 - you are on to something... if your bush looked less like a tree that might swing it.
2. #75 - I like the silhouette of the burning bush built into the font/logo but do not like the font... too unique and not my liking... but if the idea was built into the logo... interesting.
3. If the silouhette was almost a gradient image of the bush, then with the symbolisms of the burning bush contrasting with the silouhette; that would be interesting.
4. #176 - I like the burning flame... a bit of a biblical symbolism but the bush looks like barbed wire, and the font is too traditional... we are a high-tech company and your logo; while appealing to us, doesn't jive with the high-tech side of things.
5. #151 - love this, but don't see the burning bush in it.
6. #149/150 - I really want like this too, but i wish it was higher tech, and the bush was less dominant than the flame... along the lines of what i was saying in #3 above. Also, I need to see this in a B&W too.
7. #129 - I like what you did with the graphics in the "B" but want a higher tech font.
I am really ready to make a decision in the next day or so AND then also look to ask for additional work (other things after that). I hope you will look at my comments. Thanks for your submissions.

  Hello All,

Thanks for the submissions so far. A couple of comments:
1. The focus on the flame(s) (only) on the logos looks too much like a logo for a natural gas utility or propane distributor.
2. The possibility of a silohette of a bush and then the flames might be an angle to look into?
3. The high tech (perhaps a molecular symbolism) approach of #'s 84 and 85 is interesting by the way, but the FONT isn't good.
4. The font on 26, 31 are going in the right direction.
5. No. 30 is intriguing but it looks like a tree and not a bush.
6. No. 46's symbolism of the burnign bush is perhaps my favorite but the font is too traditional(?).
