Things to communicate through the design
1. It's an Ambulance
2. Highly Visible from rear (see requirements)
3. Required Lettering/Graphics
The target audience
We are a public safety agency and this will be a new graphic design for our ambulances.
We like these fonts, colors and style
•Entire ambulance will be painted white, but other colors may be considered.
•All graphics/striping/lettering will done in reflective vinyl for safety/visibility and should be 3" above the bottom of the ambulance body due to the bottom skirt rail.
•There must be at least one 'Star of Life" on each side, front and rear of ambulance, but does not have to be the standard blue color as you may see on many ambulances
•I would like for the colors from our patch (Blue/Red/Gray) to be incorporated into the design with the primary color to be the blue. See attached graphic.
•Patch graphic incorporated into the driver and passenger doors. See attached graphic.
•Main body (sides and rear) of ambulance should have “Apex EMS” and “Paramedic”
•Rear of ambulance must be the required chevron safety stripe pattern that cover the entire rear area (same blue as the rest of vehicle with contrasting white reflective). See attached example.
•There are many other examples and ideas available on the internet.
•A similar design will be used on a 2015 Ford Explorer if the designers wish to submit ideas for this as well.
